The American Worker Film Project is in Hiatus.

Originally, the American Worker Film Project was conceived as a group-sourced-contest centered film.  Images of American Workers from all over the United States would be solicited in a national contest  and then used to create a film “about the American worker, for the American worker and by the American worker”.

What the filmmakers were confronted with was the necessity of a huge national publicity campaign to power the contest.  Without that, the contest could not garner enough public attention to deliver enough suitable images of American workers.

We did, however, build a following in social media and are now looking at creative collaborators to procure images and stories to document the crucial role of American workers in a healthy economy that works for all Americans.

One result of our social media presence is the introduction of many like-minded creative people who are concerned about the future of American workers.  Rocketman Films Incorporated is now looking at the possibility of collaborating with Buffalo N.Y. based, American photographer Phil Pantano.  Phil’s portraits of American workers, some of which are seen here,  are powerful moments captured in a heartbeat and rich with implied stories of hardwork, dedication, and American Spirit.  In other words, they are just what we are looking for.  Stay tuned.
